Alpha-ville at Beck’s Green Box Digital Salon

Alpha-ville will participate in the next Green Box Digital Salon: a one-day event exploring the medium of Augmented Reality and its role in the world of art, fashion, music and design.

The salon is an extension of the Green Box Project – a global art fund established to inspire, celebrate and financially support independent talent in art, design, music and fashion.The first round of submissions for the new Beck’s Art Fund has now closed but be sure to stay tuned to the Beck’s Keyholders Nick Knight and Sam Spiegel’s shortlist for the first round of public commissions.

The Digital Salon is comparable to a TEDx creative conference with a focus on Augmented Reality and how it has evolved alongside its potential to drive forward the world of art. Hosted by idea-curators Future Human, the salon will feature a micro-primer presentation exploring the theme ‘Merged Worlds: Augmented Reality with Digital Creativity’. Digicave, the technical team behind some of the world’s most revolutionary special effects will be there to present three unseen executions of AR technology.

The audience will also be invited to participate in the Interactive Debate ‘How will AR shape the creative industries of tomorrow?’, which will be supported by a panel of tech experts including digital artist James Alliban – who partcipated in the last edition of Alpha-ville, co-founder and director of Alpha-Ville Festival Estela Oliva and Beck’s Green Box Project Artist Dominic Flannigan of LuckyMe.
