A practical introductory workshop designed by Alpha-ville to learn creative ways of making, recording and mixing electronic music with Ableton Live software.
The workshop was led by experienced electronic music composer Jo Thomas who used examples drawn from her own practice to highlight Ableton interface, tools and terminology. Participants explored the software by working on tracks and pre-existing loops, midi instruments and Novation Launchpad controllers. There were also some tips for sound design, production planning and ﬁle management.
