From Digital to Post-Digital
Alpha-ville created an exhibition as part of the Alpha-ville 2011 Festival to address the transition from a digital to a post-digital culture, looking beyond technology at how human behaviours such as collaboration, participation and interaction are redefining the creative practice and society itself; and how the physical boundaries between reality and online are being blurred.
The exhibition featured a programme of physical, digital and interactive installations, workshops, open labs, talks, performances, web experiments and more. Some of the highlights of the programme included:
Visionary Cities
Whitechapel Gallery, London (2010)
An evening exhibition around the theme of Visionary Cities. Highlights from the programme included a showcase of work by graduates from Unit 15 at the Bartlett School of Architecture – a course that specialises in the use of film, motion graphics and animation in architecture; design interaction projects from Ka Fai Choy and Gerard Rallo, both graduates from the RCA; and a digital print installation by Korean artist Jinhyuk Ko; and Revisit, a twitter data visualisation piece by German data artist Moritz Stefaner.
