Presented by Sonica & Alpha-ville
Friday 30th November at Klub K4, Ljubliana, from 23h.
Our ICAS friends MoTA – Museum of Transitory Art present the 4th edition of Sonica, the Festival of Transitory Art that takes place in Ljubliana, Slovenia. A showcase of experimental audio, visual and cross media artistic practices. Sonica transforms classical gallery spaces into an interactive field of events, performances, installations, workshops and lectures, with a different theme each year.
This year’s theme refers to the “third culture”, raising questions about a new culture that is born on the edge of science, technology and popular culture.
Alpha-ville has partnered with Sonica to present the premiere of British duo Emptyset who will play their powerful live set alongside Clayton Welham on the visuals. Welham is a regular collaborator and he also collaborated for their Alpha-ville show in 2011. Other highlights of the programme are the AV concerts by Ryoichi Kurokawa and Fennesz and Lillevan, and an exhibition by Zimoun. There is also a collaboration with TodaysArt Festival.
Without a doubt a date to put in the calendar for those who can make it.
