FraMEShift is an interactive dance performance directed and choreographed by Renata Sheppard, produced by VR&MMP and performed by dancers Lu-Kai Huang, Tzu-Ying Ho, Yin-Guan Huang and Vanessa Michielon. It was premiered in July 2012 in Turin during the Teatro a Corte Festival.
The project brings together several disciplines: dance, new media art, music and design to investigate of the relationship between humans and machines and how far it can go. Using two symbolic characters: a person and a robot, the piece raises questions about the never ending technological advances and what will be the limits between humans and machines (transhumans).
