This year Google’s Creative Sandbox returned to Cannes Lions Festival, featuring an area open to all festival delegates from 16th to 20th June. Alpha-ville presented London based digital art and design studio FIELD at one of the Lightning Talks. For this talk, Vera Maria Glahn, co-founder and managing director spoke about how their work evolves and develops from idea to execution.

Lightning Talk: FIELD “The Integrity of Tension”
Google’s Creative Sandbox
Gray D’Albion and Plage Royale beach
Friday 20th June – 2:00 – 2:45pm

Innovative ideas and cutting edge work won’t be found on the trodden path. Both creatives and commissioners need to be ready to walk unusual ways and explore without a pre-defined goal. Simple ideas can turn into extraordinary work when they have space to grow and change, and – let’s face it – timelines to shift.

Against the backdrop of some of their latest projects, including work for Nike, GE, and the British Library, Vera will talk about the strategies that FIELD have developed to open up this breathing space for inspiring new work: from creative u-turns and self-initiated projects, to their relationship with clients and partners.

Speaker: Vera-Maria Glahn, Co-Founder / Interactive Designer, FIELD
