Are you a passionate writer who loves art, electronic music and technology and wants to gain experience in the new media art world? This might be the right place for you. We are an online and live platform that curates and disseminates new media art and digital culture. Alpha-ville has previously produced 3 editions of Alpha-ville Festival in London and worked with Arts Council England, PRSF, Whitechapel Gallery, V&A Museum, London Design Festival, Microsoft, WIRED, Pantha Du Prince, Matthew Dear, Jon Hopkins, Jacaszek, Keiichi Matsuda, Aaron Koblin, Moritz Stefaner, Tom Uglow, Olivia Solon, Scott Snibbe, Bill Thompson, Murcof, Byetone and AntiVJ.

We’re looking for a writer to help us develop the content on our web platforms. You will be responsible for writing, coordinating, reviewing and promoting features, interviews, news and other posts. You will be joining a small but dynamic team of like-minded people, passionate about new media art and web culture.
Small internship fee to be agreed + travel expenses (London area). Hours will be 9:30am to 5:30pm, ideally 2-3 days per week and a minimum of 3 months. Start date: as soon as possible

Responsibilities

Website content administration and updates
Press & comms assistance
Support and management of our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, G+, Vimeo, Pinterest)
Editorial assistance on our newsletters, pick of the week and music podcast
Research & cataloguing

Essential Skills

Knowledge and passion for the digital art and the creative tech industry
Web savy, geek, witty, able to work effectively on cloud tools such as Google docs, content management systems such as wordpress, some degree of confidence with photo editing software required.
Excellent writing and communications skills (send examples of work)
Initiative and enthusiasm
English mother tongue or bilingual
